It’s not every day that your book inspires some original music. We were floored when we saw this tweet from our friend, composer and jazz pianist extraordinaire Ethan Iverson.

We’re doubly pleased that Ethan picked up Idle Gossip at one of our favorite bookstores, the Poisoned Pen. Ethan, formerly music director for the Mark Morris Dance Group, has a new piece with the company currently on tour called The Look of Love, based on the music of the late master Burt Bacharach.
